Alison K. Moore Underberg Passed away in Fort Dodge, where she lived, of an apparent heart attack. Her funeral was held on Friday, March 21st in Fort Dodge, with burial at the North Lawn Cemetery.
Alison is survived by her husband, Dean, and daughters Andrea and Laura and son, Tom, as well as her parents and a brother and sister.
My condolences to our classmates' families. I've come to the conclusion that you shouldn't save all your money and time for when you retire, because you might not make it that long. Take some time along the way to have fun and enjoy life, however long it may be. Treasure your time with family and friends.
Turned fifty-five this year, what a shock this must be to all of you! Sorry to hear about the recent loss of our two classmates. Currently living in Iowa Falls above the Iowa River in a house above one of the beautiful bluffs soon to be joined by my favorite girl. Next June I plan to transfer to Beed’s Lake State Park near Hampton in Franklin County and live in the state house which in on the National Historic Registry (built by the CCC). I currently as you may know, work at Pine Lake State Park near Eldora, in Hardin County. As you can imagine, my job can be a lot of fun! It was good to see some of you at the last two reunions. I have published a video on YouTube you may be interested in. It might give you a glimpse of how much fun I am having, or at the very least make you smile. The Internet address is: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Aq5wyO9WaKw. Or just go to YouTube and type in UniBoy. Hope you take a minute to peruse it. Since I was the former editor of the school paper, I have enjoyed writing and working with media as well as a plethora of other interests. And yes, I still have a Mustang convertible (on my third one now). Do you remember my 68 Acapulco blue one with the white top? Enjoying the outdoors a lot as usual. I skate (rollerblade, ice skate) a thousand miles a year (knock on wood), kayak three to five hundreds miles a year (I and Mary have been on the river every month for the last eighteen months). And, as you will see in the video, I recently took on the unicycle. Don’t ever act your age . . . My best to you all.
